Sage Hill is entering its 21st year, with a solid record of achievement behind it. Over the years, our formula hasn’t changed much: we offer the basics – workshops and colloquia in fiction, poetry, drama, nonfiction, and writing for children – in a collegial atmosphere and a beautiful setting, with top-notch facilitators. The result: hundreds of happy writers, published work too numerous to count. When Sage Hill began, in 1990, it had few competitors other than the granddaddy of all creative writing programs in Canada at the Banff Centre. Today there are many, and, to keep up, the Sage Hill board has been exploring the possibility of adding new programs: screen-writing, for example, and genre writing like mystery and science fiction. We’d like to hear from you – alumni and prospective “experients” alike: what would you like to see Sage Hill offering? We’re also always interested in hearing suggestions for faculty – who would you love to work with? Let us know, and maybe it’ll happen.
