Sage Hill Writing subsidizes tuition fees in order to keep our programs affordable for participants. You can help to ensure that Sage Hill Writing has the means to continue offering its full slate of courses, despite significant increases in facility costs.
St. Michael’s Retreat Centre, the 20-year home of Sage Hill’s retreats, changed hands in 2015, ending the generous facility discount that the St. Michael’s friars had offered to Sage Hill. While St. Michael’s (now Living Skies Retreat Centre) is welcoming, helpful, and offers competitive pricing, realistic cost increases make Sage Hill’s venue expenses $20,000 higher than when the friars were around.
With your donation, a writer you might read in a few years will be able to attend Sage Hill Writing because you helped them be there. Writers come away from Sage Hill with new tools, new ways to corral inspiration, and new colleagues, as well as a portfolio of writing that is stronger and clearer than when it arrived.
