Prince Albert Teen Writing Program 2017

Lynda Monahan’s newest poetry collection, Verge, was published in the spring of 2015 with Guernica Editions. She is the author of two previous collections of poetry, A Slow Dance in the Flames and What My Body Knows, both published by Coteau Books. Her work has been published in many Canadian and American literary magazines and anthologies and broadcast on CBC radio. She facilitates a number of creative writing workshops and has been writer-in-residence at St. Peter’s College facilitated retreat and at Balfour Collegiate in Regina. She facilitated the teen writing camp for Sage Hill Writing Experience. She has served on the council for the League of Canadian Poets and on the board of Sage Hill Writing Experience and the Saskatchewan Writers Guild. She served a two-year term as writer-in-residence at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and is currently Writer in the Community at the John M. Cuelenaere Library in Prince Albert.
Guest Author: Denise Wilkinson
Denise Wilkinson holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Ashland University. She teaches Creative Writing and English Language Arts at Carlton Comprehensive High School, and loves to encourage, support, and promote her students’ writing. Denise has published excerpts from her thesis, several poems, and short fiction. She is a member of Sans Nom, the Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild, and the Saskatoon Writers’ Collective.
