Instructor: Coby Stephenson

Coby Stephenson is the author of the short story collection Violet Quesnel, Thistledown Press (2012). Her collection of stories was short listed for the Jacqui Shumiatcher Regina Book Award at the 2013 Saskatchewan Book Awards. Coby graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Arts Honours in English with a concentration in creative writing in 2009. Currently, she is writing a novella for her Master of Arts in English and Creative Writing thesis. Coby was the guest writer at the Sage Hill Teen Writing Experience in 2016 and is thrilled to be invited back as the full-time mentor. She lives in Regina with her partner, and black Labrador retriever, Bea Arthur, and she extremely misses her daughter who is away at school.

Guest Author: Courtney Bates-Hardy

Courtney Bates-Hardy is the author of House of Mystery (KQP, 2016), a collection of fairy tale poems. She is the Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Book Awards and has a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from the University of Regina. Her poems have been featured in Imaginarium 4: The Best Canadian Speculative Writing and longlisted for The Best Canadian Poetry 2015. She lives in Regina with her husband, Christian and their cat, Jean Grey, where they co-host Textual Relations, a podcast about their favourite adaptations.
